The Best Health Spas (I Want) to Visit in the UK

Welcome to #THERAPEUTICTHURSDAYS!

If you checked in on Tuesday, you’ll have seen a published post titled The Best Health Spas to Visit in Kent. In this post I promised you that I’d later list out a few further afield, but still in the UK, and after much research today I’m ready to deliver. First up is…

The Gilpin

I think the picture speaks for itself, but as I writer I have to say that The Gilpin looks like something out of a James Bond film. It’s sensual, sleek and seriously stunning – and you haven’t even heard the best part yet: it’s based in the Lake District! If I could choose to go anywhere right now, it would, without a shadow of a doubt, be here. I mean, each bedroom has a Lakeland view and most have their own private cedarwood hot tub. Just wow.

The Garage

The Garage is a place where anyone could take THE MOST pinnable pictures EVER without even trying, it’s really that beautiful. This is the kind of luxury I long for… rooms with four poster beds, beautiful beamed ceilings and ingle-nook fireplaces! Bliss never looked so beautiful…

The Royal Crescent Hotel

I’m in awe of this picture, so heavens knows how outstanded I’d be if I actually arrived at The Royal Crescent Hotel and saw this with my own two eyes. It looks truly tranquil and if you follow the link I’ve provided, you’ll see that this stunning shot is just one among many!

Chilston Park Hotel

I’ve been lucky enough to stay at Chilston Park Hotel before and let me tell you, it’s a real treat. Situated in Lenham (which is technically Kent but I’m including it anyway – my blog, my rules LOL), it’s surrounded by picturesque parkland. Close-by are some traditional British pubs, which are definitely worth exploring if you like live music (the hotel staff are super helpful with directions and in your room you’ll find leaflets of thing to do in the area). Saying that though, there’s no reason why you wouldn’t eat at the hotel’s restaurant, as it has 2 AA Rosettes. There is no pool or health club, but even still I find Chilston Park to be one of the most relaxing places I’ve stayed to date!

Champneys (each and EVERY one!)

I’m a little obsessed with Champneys and have been since my 18th birthday, which a lot of my long-time readers will almost certainly already know! So far I’ve visited two different retreats (on a few different occasions) – Tring and Helow. Both have been OUTSTANDING, in terms of facilities and service. The treatments are carried out by highly-trained professionals, the food is prepared to the industry-leading standards and the landscapes are inspiring.

Have you visited any health hotels/spas in the UK that you think should be included in this list? If so, let me know using the comments section below!
