Anxiety is crippling.

Anxiety is frustrating.

Anxiety is demeaning.

Anxiety is exhausting.

Anxiety is life-limiting.

Anxiety is embarrassing.

Anxiety is time-consuming.

Anxiety is the feeling of fear.

Anxiety is the feeling of panic.

Anxiety is rushing for no reason.

Anxiety is more than being worried.

Anxiety is lying to protect your image.

Anxiety is illogical, but very VERY real.

Anxiety is never about attention-seeking.

Anxiety is like drowning. ALL. THE. TIME.

Anxiety is being misunderstood far too oft.

Anxiety is feeling pressure when there is none.

Anxiety is being alone in a room full of people.

Anxiety is like running a race with no finish line.

Anxiety is closing your eyes and seeing the worst.

Anxiety is never relaxing. Not one for one moment.

Anxiety is avoiding places you desperately long to be.

Anxiety is being sick with worry on your way to work.

Anxiety is struggling to breathe even in open, fresh air.

Anxiety is trembling even when you can’t work out why.

Anxiety is being defined by something that just isn’t you.

Anxiety is being affected by things that don’t phase others.

Anxiety is like being trapped in a place you don’t want to be.

Anxiety is waking up in the middle of the night in a hot sweat.

Anxiety is trying your hardest but it never being good enough.

Anxiety is like battling yourself and the big wide world everyday.

Anxiety is thinking you’re chronically ill when all you are is stressed.

Anxiety is waking up with a sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach.

Anxiety is like being controlled/taken over by something/someone else.

Anxiety is overthinking simple tasks, like making a phone call to a friend.

Anxiety is having to explain to yourself to people you know won’t understand.

Anxiety is not accepting help because you think it will only burden you further.

Anxiety is having to pack your handbag with medication everyday, “just in case”.

Anxiety is like having your head in the clouds and your ears filled with cotton wall.

Anxiety is disappointing people when they have no idea how disappointed you are.

Anxiety is staying indoors on a beautiful summer’s day because you have no energy.

Anxiety is telling your mind one thing and your body doing something completely different.

Anxiety is telling your loved ones to carry on without you, because you can’t stand by their side.

Anxiety is like carrying the weight of your world on the shoulders, for absolutely no logical reason.

Anxiety is being rude to your loved ones because your mind can’t cope with life, let alone pleasantries.

Anxiety is arranging a day out and having to cancel. Not because you want to, but because you have to.
