Welcome to #THERAPUTICTHURSDAYS!
Last week, in the lead-up to the launch of my new business, I honestly started to lose hope. When you’re overwhelmed and exhausted, it can be real had to put things into perspective. Luckily I was able to pull myself out of my pit (with a little help from Sam) and carry on. And by carrying on, I regained hope.
Today I wanted to share 5 reasons to never lose hope, for those going through a tough time and close to the end of their tether. These are 5 things are what inspired me to push forward even when I felt like giving up. Hopefully, they will do the same for you…
1. Because there’s so much to be thankful for
No matter who you are or where you are in the world, there is something in your life to be thankful for. When you’re going through hard times, it can be really difficult to concentrate on the positives rather than all the negatives, especially when they surround or constantly consume you. However, the more good you can find in things, the better you’ll feel. When I’m feeling really down I go for a walk and look at how beautiful nature is. If you can find pleasure in the little things, you’ll always have reason to be happy.
2. Because hard times are temporary
You never know what is round the corner, nor do you have any idea what the universe has in store for you. Sure it’s important to plan for the future but it’s also important to know that you cannot control it. Not everything can be “fixed”, so if something goes wrong that is out of your control it’ll stand you in good stead to remember that hard times are temporary and always pass. Yes they may come back around, but if it weren’t for the bad times you’d have no idea what happy actually is!
3. Because nothing is impossible
Have you ever heard or read a true-life miracle story? One that is so inspirational you genuinely can’t believe it actually happened. I can think of a few myself. And it reminds me that nothing is impossible. The human race has achieved things we once deemed impossible, and you know what – you & me – we’re part of that race! We too can achieve incredible things – no matter what our grades say, our parents believe and society thinks…
Always kind in mind that only YOU know what YOU are truly capable of.
4. Because adversity is simply part of life
Without facing any adversity, you wouldn’t grow, learn or really challenge yourself at all in life. Facing a crisis scenario can be emotional but it can also be character building. I like to think that everything happens for a reason, and not because it’s cliché but because I can genuinely look back at my life and be thankful for some of the sh*t I went through. I’ve learned a lot from my own mistakes, and I think that there’s a lesson to learn in any bad situation.
5. And least but most certainly not least, because Bob Marley says so!
“Don’t worry about a thing,
‘Cause every little thing gonna be all right.
Singin’: “Don’t worry about a thing,
‘Cause every little thing gonna be all right!”
And that just about rounds it up for today 🙂 Thanks to you all for reading. Have a wonderful day!
