Dress For The Occasion

I love to have different looks and completely change my style from day to day, so I thought I would share just a few of my favourite outfit looks from 2013. Me and my sister always exchange clothes from week to week so I decided to get her involved selecting one of her most comfortable and casual outfits, and below are are the results! Enjoy πŸ™‚

The above is one of my best picks for casual wear. IΒ love this outfit partly because it’s comfortable and partly because I can wear it anywhere. It can be dressed up with a pair of black winkle pickers or dressed down like this with a pair of chelsea boots. It’s ideal for this type of weather as you can pile on the layers underneath without it looking padded.

This is the casual outfit that my sister chose.

Lydia says: “I love this outfit because it is bright yet is still perfect for the winter . The jeans being corduroy and not denim makes the world of difference when it comes to comfort”Β

This is my best work look from 2013. It’s perfect for an interview or a business meeting and can be dressed up with a pair of heels for after work drinks like I’ve featured in the picture. For a more dressed down day to day look team it with black tights and pumps.

This outfit is perfect for a night out in the winter as the matchy-matchy look makes it look well planned out and effortless at the same time. It is ideal for meals as it floats out and covers the stomach to avoid a bloated belly look. Add a cropped black leather jacket and some ballet pumps for the perfect work outfit.

Dress ; Pussycat (Bromley)

Shoes ; Priya

Belt ; Zara basic

  1. I always love seeing other people’s personalities shine through in what they choose to wear… love these ‘looks’ – especially that lace collar on the dress! β™₯ *swoon!* I’m a total sucker for lace collars…and, lace, in generall…except for ‘tacky’ lace (which, I hasten to add, that most definitely is NOT!! ^_^) x

  2. Glad you mentioned Ebay, so many different, vintage looks. Clothes I would have got rid of in the 60s & 70s never thinkling the look would return. The quality of the material, pattern matching at the seams etc had so much more attention to detail. Always go for a real quality coat and dress that makes you feel ‘first class’ and you will act ‘first class’. Congratulations on a great blog, I look everyday!

    1. I’m totally with you on that one, clothes can give you a new found confidence you never even knew you had! Thank you, it’s so lovely to hear that people are enjoying my writing and it’s nice to keep in touch with you like this πŸ™‚ xx

  3. Love this post! Your pick for casual wear is my favorite, but they are all very pretty looks! You have a great style, following you now with Bloglovin πŸ™‚
